6. The Krewmen have toured the USA several times, also Canada-Japan, plus many tours of europe. What did the american people think when you first toured there?
When we first went to the USA in 1988, the press thougth we were going to be just like all the rest of the european bands of that timen, who used a double bass. Pure "Rockabilly" and "A copy of the Stray Cats". But once we started playing concerts and appeard on several radio shows, they soon realized "The Krewmen" were an original band an were not a copy of anyone. One of , if not the best the best compliments we have ever had paid to us, was when the press in the USA wrote back in 1989: "Such originalityy, makes the Krewmen one of the finds of the 80's and a band to watch for the 90's".
7. Do you get much attention from major music press and radio from around the world?
Yes, from all over the world. Since we had the album "Curse of the graveyard demon" releases on the USA label "Skyclad". We have had very godd press and radio play all over the USA & Canada, especially on the college radio stations. We have had great support over the past 10 years from the USA/ Canada's number one alternative magazne, " Alternative Press". Also it has help a lot, by us touring regulary over in the USA. In Europe and Japan we have had good support from magazineslike "Spek" (Germany), "Shark" (Germany), Musik Express (Europe), "N.M.E." (UK), "Sounds" (UK), "Back to the Rock" (Japan), "Scootering" (Europe), and many more.
In the past couple of years we have been getting good national Radio & Press coverage from Australia, also we owe a lot of tahnk's to fanzines from around the world, who have given us great support over the past 14/15 years. Fanzine like; "Streetpunk", "Fiesta", "Krueger news", "Mutant Crew" "Necro News" and very many mor but what has been the bigges factor tu us over the years. Is the great amount of loyal support we have received from "our fans". For with out them we would still playing at our local pub.
